Where We Stand: A Full Program Update
Organizational update — Mind-Enrich Foundation
We're a young organization, and we think transparency about where we actually are matters more than making things sound further along than they are. So here's a complete, honest look at every part of our work right now — what's running, what's being built, and what's still waiting on funding.
Running now: Real-World English Language Program (Sri Lanka)
Two months in, 35 students are working directly with a local volunteer teacher — a native English speaker teaching in their own community. What became clear almost immediately wasn't a lack of interest or ability among these students. It was logistics: families with limited income often have to choose between bus fare to reach a tutor or the cost of the tutor itself, and in many of the communities we work in, there was no tutor to reach at all. This program exists to close that gap directly, by putting instruction where the students already are.
Active groundwork: Pre-Exploitation Prevention & Post-Rescue Restoration (Nepal)
This program isn't running yet, and we want to be upfront about that. What is happening right now is groundwork: identifying trusted local contacts, building the safety and intake protocols this kind of work requires, and establishing the community relationships that have to exist before we bring a single beneficiary into the program. We're not accepting donations toward this specific initiative until that foundation is complete — we'd rather take the time to build it correctly than rush it to look further along than it is.
Waiting on funding: Nawalapitiya Bright Futures
Sri Lanka has recently gone through a severe economic strain — more than 60% of households reported a drop in income in a recent national survey — and one of the first things families cut is school supplies. This program is fully designed to provide 50 children in Nawalapitiya with a complete set of school supplies for the year, removing that specific financial barrier. It's ready to launch the moment it's funded.
Waiting on funding: Holistic Development & Counseling Workshop
Rural secondary students often have access to almost no professional counseling or career guidance — sometimes relying on a single, minimally-trained teacher for an entire school. This workshop is designed to bring structured counseling, career mapping, and personal development sessions directly into rural schools. Like Bright Futures, it's fully planned and paused until funding allows us to begin.
Why we're telling you this now
We think an organization asking for public trust should be willing to show exactly where it stands — including the parts that aren't finished yet. One program is active and already showing what direct, targeted support can do. Two more are ready the moment funding allows. And our newest effort is being built deliberately, not rushed.
